Major Duties and Responsibilities
The following description is intended as an overview of the duties of this position:
• Serve as Chief Executive Officer of the school district
• Provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the K-12 program
• Assure compliance with all Federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
• Manage the fiscal affairs of the district in close detail
• Direct all staff in the performance of their duties.
• Serve as the public face of the district
• Regularly and thoroughly inform the Board of Education of all relevant information
• Seek the guidance of the Board on policy matters and major issues.

Compensation
Annual salary of approximately $180,000 to $190,000, depending on qualifications and experience. A very competitive expense allowance and benefits package. Contract length is three years.

School and Community
Alma School District is among the largest fifteen percent of school districts in Arkansas. Students are successful academically, and succeed in co-curricular programs at a very high level. Alma is a bedroom community of Fort Smith with a comfortable small town lifestyle and the advantages of a nearby small city. The major metropolitan areas of Fayetteville, Tulsa and Little Rock are easily accessible.
